You may receive fake DocuSign solicitations听or PayPal/ General invoices:

  • If you did NOT explicitly ask for an invoice or signature, ignore the email request and forward it to phishing@bc.edu.
  • If you ARE expecting something, double check the 渇rom� email address is legitimate and directly confirm with the vendor you are expecting to hear from.听 听

What to do if you receive a potential scam:

  • If you aren檛 sure an email is authentic, instead of replying, contact the sender using verifiable information:
    • 网曝吃瓜 email address from the 网曝吃瓜 Directory.
    • Work phone number from the 网曝吃瓜 Directory.
    • Be careful Googling company information, this can be spoofed. Use trusted email and phone numbers.
  • Do not reply to the email, or text/call any phone numbers included in the email.
  • Do not click on any links in the message. Do not copy any links provided and/or paste them into the search bar.
  • Forward it to phishing@bc.edu and use 淩eport phishing� in your email application. This will help prevent the message from reaching additional 网曝吃瓜 faculty, staff, and students.
  • If you click on a link or attachment in a scam email, please let Security know and they will help protect your account: security@bc.edu
